All players need to be able to attack and defend regardless of their position. Defenders need to be able to create and penetrate space once they have turned the ball over and attackers need to be able to defend effectively if they lose possession.
What's in the session?
This session works on players defending skills including speed, agility and decision making skills through passive and competitive situations with progressions to stretch and challenge your more able players and conditions to support your developing players.
Players will learn the importance of body position to deny and limit space for the opposition. Also these drills will encourage increasing the defending pressure as a team to increase turnovers.
