
3 Attackers must move the ball through each of the 4 zones in any order to get the ball from the baseline to half way, while defenders can only defend the one zone they are allocated. NB: If attacker steps, they must restart at baseline. If defender contact or obstructs, they are out of play in their zone until penalty pass is released.
Attackers learn the value of communication, spacial awareness vs. crowding & reoffering & correct drive angles. Defenders learn the value of isolation, dictating, body angle/respositioning & anticipation and protecting space with more than one attacker present.
