I am needing drills to get a GS to come forward and not always be behind the GK asking for a back ball

Hi Tanya,

To help your Goal Shooter (GS) come forward and avoid always being behind the Goal Keeper (GK), here are a couple of drills you might find useful:

  1. GS Give and Go: This drill focuses on the GS releasing the ball and quickly moving onto the court ensuring they are ball side. This helps in creating space and receiving the ball back for a shot. You can find more details about this drill 1 here.
  2. 3 v 2 with GS Blocking: This drill involves the GS blocking the GK in the circle, which helps in creating space to receive the ball. It focuses on the GS turning towards the player with the ball to create space.

These drills should help your GS in developing better movement and positioning skills to come forward effectively. Let me know if you need more information or further assistance!
