Players may run with the ball and defenders must try to stop them attaining a point by either intercepting the ball or tagging the player possessing the ball before they touch down the ball on the backline.
If ball is intercepted or tagged, then the opposing team become attackers and must maintain possession of the ball to score a point by touching it over the backline.
