An attacking player stands with the ball. The defender must stand 3 ft away, abiding by the rules to make it as game like as possible. ?The attacking player holds the ball at the points shown in the diagram, at this point the defender has to mark the ball in the appropriate way. they have to hold the stretch for 3 seconds as this would be the maximum amount of time during a game. In between stretches to mark the ball the player should be on their towes so that it is game like and they can be ready to mark the ball.
If this becomes too easy for the defender, introduce a pass. the ball is held for three seconds and then released to encourage the player to go for the interception and encourage the defending stages.
