Hi Ash,
Netball is of course classified as a non-contact sport, however it is becoming increasingly common to experience a certain level of contact. Nevertheless, it is well known that netball can become a physical game, due to the demands placed upon the sport.
Contact usually arises due to the defender not moving their feet quick enough to take the ball cleanly, instead they cause contact, as shown here in going for an interception. However, here at Sportplan, we try to demonstrate the correct technique and provide the support and advice necessary to keep netball a clean sport.
Hope this helps.
