please can someone list some technical netball terms?
Hi Amelia,
Here are a few technical netball terms.
Goal Line Throw-in: When the ball goes out of court over the goal line, the opposing team performs a throw-in from the back line.
Centre Pass: The pass used to start each quarter or to restart play after a goal. It is taken by the center player.
Rebound: When a shot at goal misses the net and bounces back into play, any player can attempt to catch the ball.
Footwork: Refers to the rules that dictate how players can move around the court while in possession of the ball, such as taking the correct number of steps or pivoting on one foot.
Interception: When a defending player catches a pass intended for an attacking player, resulting in a turnover.
Pivot: The action of a player keeping one foot grounded while moving the other foot to change direction.
Feeding: The act of passing the ball into the goal circle to set up a scoring opportunity.
Contact: Refers to any illegal physical contact made between players, such as pushing, obstructing, or leaning on opponents.
Hope this helps.
Archie
