Once the technique is correct (make sure they're flicking the ball off the middle two fingers as well to ensure a good spin when shooting), then ensure that practice is done both 'statically' and 'dynamically'. Too many shooters practice by 'standing' in the goal circle which rarely happens in a game. The player must practice with hear rate elevated also.
