how to teach 8yr olds netball?

how do u teach 8yr olds every part of the game that don't know anything about the game

Link the warm up to some of the basic skills, then break the game right down and teach them about netball in bite size chunks that they will be able to take on board some the skills without even trying.  As they are only 8 make it fun and simple and it will stick.  If you try to teach as you play, you will not achieve anything, other than confusion and they will not want to continue playing.  Use the KISS method.

Keep It Simple Stupid

the easy answer is you cant teach them every part of the game.  netball is a very complex game, so concentrate on the basics at age 8.  catching and throwing.  running to the ball.  spreading out.  basic footwork.  basic rules, positions, center pass, no running with the ball.  at age 8 there are abbreviate rules for nettas, so there is some leaniancy towards stepping and distance (you actually have to be 4ft in netta and no defence during a shot), and time you can have the ball.  but dont worry too much if they dont get it all correct.  as long as the kids are enjoying themselves, and progressing, then by the end of the season they will have enough idea to want to keep learning next year.
