how to hold in the circle and keep my GK where I want
Hi Lara,
The best way to hold your space in the circle is to keep a strong body position, knees bent and a slightly wider base than normal. Your defender will be constantly moving around you to try to intercept an incoming ball, so it is important for you to make slight adjustments with your feet with the aim to keep your defender contained.
The drill I have attached is a defensive drill but will encourage you to stay on the move and hold the space behind. When feeders are looking to pass into you, it would be beneficial to put your hand up and make it clear where you want the ball.
I hope this helps!
