hai ! i am athirah from Malaysia. I am player netball in my state, my positon in netball always change until i do not know how and what position that i really good.My coach always change me on other position and i really confuse on what position i am good enough..can i get your advise ?
Most decent netball players can play anywhere well, but tend to excel in one position. That also tends to be the position we love to play in. Over time the position we excel in can change as we learn and develop new skills and we become passionate about this new position.
Depending on how many teams you play for, may influence what position they need you to fill. I use to play for 3 teams and I played in different positions for each team as each team needed different skills from me.
Not knowing your age or division you play for is hard to give you advise. But the best advise I can give you is have an honest, open conversation with your coach, and discuss your concerns and issues. It may not change her rotation for you, but you may have a better understanding of her reasoning. She/he will also be aware of your concerns and should try address or help alleviate them.
Good luck.
in more ways than one
