i am having trouble getting free on that center pass off can anyone help
I play GA and I find it easier to stand on the inside of my player so when I run out it cuts the defence off.

Another option is to come back off the transverse line 5-6 steps and do strong prelim moves before the centre pass whistle and time your run over the transverse line. Using dodging or change of direction preliminary moves to get the defence to turn their head and then run strongly to receive the pass. Let your Centre and WA know what you are doing at training and practice it initially without a defender, then add a defender but they are only half effort against you so you can practise being successful at the technique. Then full defence.
Don`t run forward. Stay back and let the WA get it then run behind to get the Wa pass, so then you can pass to the GS, it works everytime and if the see through your tactic then change it up a little, act like your going to stay back again then sprint forward leaving your playing behind (make sure to go to the inside) hope this makes sense xx
in more ways than one
Split circle defence is the system the top three NSL teams have built their identity around in 2026. The Goal Keeper and Goal Defence divide the circle into zones, switch in synchrony, and make every passing option look risky. Here is how to coach it.
Most netball shooters know how to shoot. The difference at the top is who can shoot when it counts. A structured 10-minute pre-game mental routine is the most under-used performance tool in club netball - and it is the simplest to teach.
The best Goal Defences in the 2026 NSL season are intercepting more than ever. The reason is not raw athleticism. It is a deliberate shift from chasing the attacker to driving into the flight path of the ball. Here is how to coach it.
