can a coach move say a few metres up and down outside court while game is on play to help certain players
i know with under 11's you can...but under 13's and up the coach has to remain in the same spot
Judy, not sure about the age thing but at pine rivers association in qld a coach must remain in a designated area that they decide on before the game (and generally that has to be at either end and not along the sidelines) however to get around this rule, you can send a player that is standing off to deliver a message to players that you need to help instruct. the other option (which is what we do for my daughters u15 team) is that although im not a coach for her team, im very good at encouraging the players on what they should be doing. the coach and i do not discuss anything, but it just so happens we have very similar ideas about what her team members should be doing. if you have any parents that are like that you might be able to get them to "encourage" down the other end.
or just learn to project your voice...lol
but if in doubt ask for the rule clarification at the courts.
