What is the best position for the GA and WA to stand in to increase chance of recieving centre pass and to facilitate the flow of the game?
There are several positions that you can get you GA & WA to stand in for a centre pass, one of the most effective is to have them standing side by side so that they can them both lead out across their defence to receive the centre pass. The other one is to have the GA line up behind the WA and let the WA hold/zone the defence so that the GA can come from behind and take the centre pass.

In any case get the girls to practice fast take-offs and dodge, double dodging etc to get free! Don't forget to make sure your WD and GD pay attention as if all else fails they can be another option!
I would suggest if one is being double marked she drops back, and the other stands on the inside of their player so they can sprint straight out to receive the ball. By dropping back, the other player has room to receive the next pass, or let the GS out.

Most netball shooters know how to shoot. The difference at the top is who can shoot when it counts. A structured 10-minute pre-game mental routine is the most under-used performance tool in club netball - and it is the simplest to teach.
The best Goal Defences in the 2026 NSL season are intercepting more than ever. The reason is not raw athleticism. It is a deliberate shift from chasing the attacker to driving into the flight path of the ball. Here is how to coach it.
