What are the dodges in netball?
single dodge, double dodge, clear and drive, roll, straight lead
when teaching a player preliminary moves (or ways to get away from players) like the dodge or double dodge its really important that when they are changing their direction from left to right and back, then the they need to turn their toes and hips in order to get that push when they do decision to stop faking their directional change and actually go. so have them do exercises between 2 cones concentrating on their hip and feet directions. they should always be on their balls of their feet (i bounce others do fast feet) to keep their player guessing, and then turn your hips, to the direction you want to dodge (fake) to, and then turn your feet and hips to the other directions to actually drive in that direction (thats a dodge, a double dodge you do 2 dodges (or fakes) and then drive.
hope that makes sense. look up some videos of people practising them.
