Under 8's coaching where do I start?

Under 8's coaching where do I start?

Hi, this is my first season coaching and I have an U8 team. Half the girls played last season and half the girls are new to the game. Where do I start? It looks like there is a great beginner coaching pack available but I am not sure if it would work for the little ones.

Hi Candice, the main points I would recommend when working with kids this age are to make sure they are having lots of fun and getting lots of touches of the ball (don`t have lots of them waiting in a line). This pack will be a good starting point for some ideas. Remember at that age they won`t have an attention span of more than 15 mins max, so make sure you`re ready to move onto the next exercise or game when you see them flagging!
