What is the rule and penalties for when a player crosses into the wrong area?
Hi Saheli,
If a player crosses into the wrong area, it results in an offside violation. The opposing team is awarded a free pass or penalty pass, depending on the location of the violation. The player who was offside must return to the correct area before they can participate in the game.
Hope that helps.
