There is no LEGAL limit to the length of the pass.  you just cant throw over a third without someone touching it.

The answer I think you're looking for is 25.4m.  From the corner of one third to the diagonally oposite corner of the adjacent third.

Phil is exactly right. This question was posed to a number of young players as part of continual efforts to get players thinking about their netball. Many players answered with 20 meters, because they were thinking inside the box, and forgot about diagonal passes. Quite a few did get the right answer, possibly with some parental help on Pythagoras.
