Keeping kids enthusiastic regardless of position being played

Keeping kids enthusiastic regardless of position being played

I am coaching a Year 2 netball team for the first time. Unfortunately, during games sometimes the ball naturally spends quite a bit of time down one end of the court. One child is losing enthusiasm as a result. Any suggestions to keep them enthusiastic when this happens? We rotate players at least each half and all get to play an equal amount in each position per Netta rules.

most kids just talk to their opponant.  this i would think would be a very common problem, particualarly for the shooters and keepers as they are so limited in their movement.  you want them to stay focussed on the game. and not give them some other imaginary task.  maybe speak to the other coach and ask if the two of you can give the 2 girls an exercise like one move around and the other one shadows and they have to be in a certain position by the time the ball gets to half way mark or transverse line.
