I am training some net-baller between the ages of 8 -14 and the drills are very hard for the 8 year old. Do i have to split the team up
From experience it is quite tricky to coach when you have such a differenc in age ranges; 8 year olds are at such a different stage than a 9/10 year old let alone 14! It is better to split them into age groups,(8-9)(10-12)(12-13) if you have someone to help that will be easier. Although the olderones should beable to get on abit themselves once shown the drill and then you could give them progressions while you help the younger ones get to grip with the drill. There are quite a few drills that you can use for all on this website, basically it's the age ranges that is causing you the problem. If it helps i can let you know which drills work well, Let me know.
