Girls who just sit around aren't helping my team! Help!!
Hi Gabriella,
It can always be difficult when you have players that are keen to learn and players that are not. My best advice would be to start your training sessions with a fun game, for example running netball tag or something similar depending the age of your athletes. This should not only get your players warm but ready to engage in the session.
Also within the session try to give your players a lot of praise and encouragement, as well as feedback on how they can improve. The players may not be engaging within the session as they find it too difficult or do not fully understand and therefore do not want to feel silly. If this is the case, find out what they are struggling with and try give further assistance or take the drill back a step to re-build.
Hope this helps.
