I am just wondering what are good exercises, drills and techneic to increase players elevation on vertical jumps?
skipping (two feet together) ,jumping beside a fence withone arm stretched up high trying to touch a higher point, rebound practise, holding the ball up high in one hand and getting the person to jump to get it out, if they are taller than you, then toss it up a little. cmpetition for the ball gets them to go higher, but making sure that their knees are bent, their arms are bent beside them, and their eyes are fixed on the ball, so that they are ready to explode up into the air is important. so make sure that their body stance is in a good position ready to do that, not flat footed with stretched up hight ready to just catch it.
Lee-anne has made some suggestions! Basically, anything that involves plyometrics is the go (jump squats, jump lunges, bounding over cones, single leg bounding forwards/backwards and sideways)...resistances such as leg weights during these trainings also increases elevation - as soon as you take them off you feel like you're flying!!
in more ways than one
The early 'shoot from anywhere' era is over. Smart teams now use data-driven decision models to decide when the two-pointer is worth it.

No more 50/50 toss-ups. When simultaneous infringements occur, possession now goes to the team that last had the ball. Here's what it means for your coaching.
