If you have a short defender how can they best defend a tall GS or GA
Hi Julie
You should try to defend them from behind as you will never be able to intercept the shots but you can make them shoot from a distance and hope to get rebounds. The idea is that your defence player blocks/zones them as high up on the circle edge as they can so that they can not get their position for a shot close to the goal. The only way to do this is to position their body behind their player and stop their movement towards the goal as they would have to contact your player to move closer. Also you want to make the shot as difficult as possible for them. This is a good drill to use to practice that.
Hi
Will intimidation be called by an umpire if the GK/GD uses the Ladder style of defence?
in more ways than one
