Hi All,I have had a few (4) new additions to my squad, all of which are of a high County/NPL junior level. I am seeing resentment from existing players as they move "down the peckig order". Im after any suggestions on how to manage this correctly. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Age group U14s.
Hi Graham,
I can understand you are in a difficult situation, however, you need to get the balance right between doing the best for your team and also supporting your players. Personally, I would advise getting all your player together and explaining how changes may occur. Explain how you will be picking a squad upon how players train, work together and their overall performance. This should make your existing players work harder to try to make the team.
It important to remember, if you are moving a player down, explain why and what they need to do to improve. This will place the player in control, as they should try to work on these to regain their place.
Also, explain how changes may occur during the season and the squad is not fixed. This will give those players who didn`t make the team the hope of moving up, and those already in the team will continue to work hard to retain their space.
Hope this helps.

Split circle defence is the system the top three NSL teams have built their identity around in 2026. The Goal Keeper and Goal Defence divide the circle into zones, switch in synchrony, and make every passing option look risky. Here is how to coach it.
Most netball shooters know how to shoot. The difference at the top is who can shoot when it counts. A structured 10-minute pre-game mental routine is the most under-used performance tool in club netball - and it is the simplest to teach.
The best Goal Defences in the 2026 NSL season are intercepting more than ever. The reason is not raw athleticism. It is a deliberate shift from chasing the attacker to driving into the flight path of the ball. Here is how to coach it.
