I am quite new to coaching and have an U15s team. Can someone please help me explain when you would use an inside pivot as opposed to an outside pivot?
Rarely ever. Inside pivots are often awkward to control and slower unless a ball is placed badly. Outside pivots are a lot cleaner and easier to control. While turning on a outside pivot the ball can also be brought back ready to pass, an inside pivot this abit awkward to do without loosing balance
