I have 9 players in a summer Rep preparation comp. Players have nominated 2 preferred positions. How do I rotate for fair/equal court time across the 5 weeks, games are 6 x 8min quarters?

Hi Kelly,
It can be difficult to ensure all players get equal court time and of course, it depends what positions they have written down - for example, you may have a lot of centre court and a lack of defence which would make rotations more difficult. I would advise you explain to the girls before the first match how court time may differ dependent on positions - some girls may get more court time, due to fewer people playing that position. However also explain how in each match every player should get at least half a game - so 3x 8 minutes.
It is good your games are split into 6, as this will allow you to have more rotations, giving players more opportunities. Make sure you plan in advance so you can ensure each player is on at least 3 times in each match. If anyone has any issues or concerns, ensure there are open channels of communications so you can address these and bring about a solution.
Hope this helps.
