Hi,My Centre/WA is getting double tagged a lot. What can she do to get away from two players sandwiching her in?Thank you!
Back leads, it`ll temporally get her away from both of the players. This will then give her the chance to go off in different directions. Also rolls, if she is close to one, then if she can quickly get away from that player she only needs to out run another. Sorry if this didn`t make sense âºï¸
HI..SHE NEEDS TO DOUBLE DODGE AND BURST INTO A SPRINT INTO AN OPEN SPACE, OR DRIVE BACK AND FORTH UNTIL SHE IS FREE OR DRAW THEM TO ALLOW THE FREE PLAYER TO RECEIVE THE BALL
Try Roll then drive forward for the pass. This works well if your wa/c makes a quick fluid motion. Also use other players in centre pass options. Good luck!
Like pam says. If they double her then you have a free running player. If she were one of mine i would have her stand still, use my free running player to full advantage. They will soon see this as a waste of time. Remember the mental game. The double up is designed to tire your player out and frustrate her into making errors. Good luck

Totally agree with Pam regarding the double dodge and leading into space and also agree with Rebecca however rather than stand still I would advise the player who is double defended to take those defenders as far away as possible from the rest of my team mates.
Thank you all so much for answering my question! I`ll work through the different tactics and how to maximise the advantages for our team with her. Thanks again :-)
If your player is being double teamed then you must have a free player...the opposition will soon realise this is not working if you capitalise on the free player
