Here's a back line throw in set play I use... to adapt to side line then players just move up slightly on court (from where ever the throw in is taken) and make leads to the ball. Follow the same principal as back line throw in's for the side, where every player has their own space and should stick to it as much as possible to avoid over crowding (defenders work to bring ball down court to attacking end).
Back Line Throw In
DESCRIPTION
Ball Starts with GK - she throws to WD set up on circle edge (GD holds on other side to be used if necessary... try to avoid cross circle passing if possible!) GD then cuts across to receive 2nd pass as WD drives forward for next pass (defenders bring the ball up into attack - C remains a 2nd back up option!) GS drives out for 4th pass as GA drives in to receive & shoot. WA drives to edge as back up. Note - solid line = passage of ball, broken line indicates player movement.
