For an assignment, I most teach some students how to play netball; however we must do the training in the Competition Season. What drills can I do that are of high intensity and also fit into the Competition Season?
what do you mean by "fits into the competition season"? we did a fitness drill the other week with our U12/13 teams to help improve their fitness, footwork, and core strength all in one drill.
what we did was set up 2 lines using 2 cones for each line about 5m apart. the players lined up along one line and faced the other line doing fast feet. on my whistle they had to sprint to the other line, on immediately crossing the line, stop and start doing burpees until i blew my whistle again, when they had to immediately get up and do fast feet until i blew my whistle again where they sprinted to the other line where on crossing the line they would drop and do situps until my whistle blew where they would get back up and do fast feet. you keep repeating for whatever time you feel is adequate. if the players were not sprinting at top speed, the cones were moved further apart to make them sprint further. was a very affective drill.

in more ways than one
No more 50/50 toss-ups. When simultaneous infringements occur, possession now goes to the team that last had the ball. Here's what it means for your coaching.
Train your defenders to win clean turnovers, not just disrupt. The difference between good defenders and great ones is taking the ball, not just touching it.
Netball is experiencing unprecedented growth, with record viewership, evolving rules, and professional leagues expanding worldwide. Here's what 2026 brings for our sport.
