I've come up with a one hour session for a Back to Netball group of ladies focussing on change of direction and I would be grateful for any feedback on this session! Any you would change/add? I'm currently training to become a coach so any feedback is much appreciated.

I think your plan is great for back to netballers - not too difficult, skill focused, has a fun element (bulldog), progressions and technique tips. Time allocations are appropriate for the activities you have included and session is not too rushed. If you were being assessed, you would need to add in modifications for the less abled but may not be necessary in your case.
Another warm up you could add/use when team fitness improves is train running as you have included but back player weaves in/out of players in front who jog slowly around the court with about 1 to 2 arms length between them. Quite tiring for unfit players but adds in change of direction into warm up too.

Hi Anne-Marie,
think your plan looks great and thanks for sharing!
In your sketches you might like to use our drag and drop player icons (see example icons below). Otherwise really nice plan and I hope you get some more feedback from other coaches soon.

I think it looks awesome. You have kept it simple yet interesting and have allowed for progression by adding defenders.
If these players dont know each other very well, then while doing your cooldown stretches in the circle you can talk a little about themselves, about what they want to get out of playing again, about a strength that they bring to the team and a weakness they would like to work on, this will help the players get to know each other, but also for you to help plan future sessions.
in more ways than one
Split circle defence is the system the top three NSL teams have built their identity around in 2026. The Goal Keeper and Goal Defence divide the circle into zones, switch in synchrony, and make every passing option look risky. Here is how to coach it.
Most netball shooters know how to shoot. The difference at the top is who can shoot when it counts. A structured 10-minute pre-game mental routine is the most under-used performance tool in club netball - and it is the simplest to teach.
The best Goal Defences in the 2026 NSL season are intercepting more than ever. The reason is not raw athleticism. It is a deliberate shift from chasing the attacker to driving into the flight path of the ball. Here is how to coach it.
