I have a lady who takes constructive criticism to heart how can I address her mistakes without her feeling hard done by?Has anyone experienced this and what did you do?
so i take it "take a teaspoon of cement and harden up princess" approach won`t work?...lol i take it she is an older player so take the adult approach and talk with her about it. tell her there will be times that as a coach you need to adjust what she is doing so she can improve and do the skill correctly. that your telling her that SHE is useless or pathetic (which is probably what she is hearing) but just adjusting what she is doing so she can do the skill correctly. let her know that you too are open to comment about your coaching, and want to know what you can do to improve as well. so that its a 2 way street here. remember you are coaching adults so treat them as such and it will go a long way.
in more ways than one
