" I'm so fast that last night I turned off the light switch in my hotel room and was in bed before the room was dark " - Muhammad Ali
We all want our players to attack space so quickly that they are through and on their way to the try line before the opposition even knows there was space there. To do so takes speed and the ability to run at pace while still being able to handle and control the ball.
That's why this session is all about speed onto the ball, as we practice moving at speed with the ball, and being able to move the ball while still being able to operate at pace.
Coaching Tip
Focus more on the positives than any negatives that come from this coaching this session. That doesn't mean that you ignore what needs to be changed, but it is vital that you reinforce what players are doing well (positive reinforcement).
