DESCRIPTION

6 Players with 2 balls, Player 1 starts with one ball and passes to Player 5 then Player 3 whilst that is going on Player 6 starts with a ball and passes it to player 2 then player 4. Once a player has passed the ball they must follow their pass.

COACHING POINTS

  • Vital that players follow their passes or the exercise breaks down.

    Pass and follow:

    Player 1 passes to player 4 and follows their pass. Player 4 passes to player 5 and then follows their pass. This process is repeated until the ball reaches player 10 who on receiving the ball dribbles back to the start.

    Players get in a circle and pass the ball to anyone in the circle. On passing the ball they then follow their pass and take that persons place in the circle.

    Players will pass their way up the court (chest or bounce pass), as shown.

    Pass and Follow - 8 People:

  • 8 Players with 2 basketballs

    • Player 1 starts with one ball and passes to Player 2 who in turn passes to Player 3. Players have to follow their pass.

    As soon as player 1 has reached the spot vacated by player 2 then player 7 steps in and passes the second ball.
