Equipment: 4 bases and 1 ânestâ made of hoops, markers or cones. 5 balls in each base. Procedure: 3-4 defenders (include GK if any), the rest are attackers. Attackers each try to carry âeggsâ (balls) from the circular bases into the square nest. Defenders can tackle + block, but cannot hit eggs out of the nest. Play for (4) mins. Count how many balls are put into the nest. Then switch defenders. Play 3 rounds altogether. The defending team with the lowest number of balls in their nest wins. Question: How can you use passing to get the balls around the defenders + into the nest? Variations: Put the bases further away from the nest. More/fewer defenders.
Note: Donât let defenders cheat by knocking balls out of their nest. Focus: GK: closing down players, using quick footwork/manoeuvring to stop the go-forward and kick balls away. Outfielders: carrying the ball / moving the ball / stick skills / defensive skills
