Divide players into 2 teams. Setup 2 adjacent playing areas. Attacking team keeps the ball, 1 defender from the other team goes across and tries to steal AND pass it back to their own team. Add 1 defender after 5 consecutive passes. Scoring: 5pt for winning the ball with 1 defender, 4pts for winning it with 2 defenders, etc. Variations: Teams can choose how many players to send over and win the ball If the ball is hit out: either 1) it counts as a turnover 2) free hit to a defender. 3) defender wins 1 pt
Defender(s) must be able to pass to their waiting team in order to win the points. Use this activity to practice possession, defending or passing.
