Players in pairs, 1 ball per pair. Attacker (with ball) starts on halfway and aims to carry ball to 25yd line. Defender shadows by trying to stay with them, always in front and close enough to make a tackle, but must not tackle. Swap roles and come back the other way. To integrate a GK: 1 or 2 pairs go at a time, towards goal + trying to score within 10 secs. Defender canât touch ball, can only slow them down. Progression: Defender tries to stop attacker getting to other line in 10s â without touching the ball. Defender starts behind the attacker. Can they get in front quickly (recovery)? Play "Bulldog" with a 10sec countdown
Feedback: Can you keep your stick as close as possible to the ball - without touching it? Can you stay close enough to tackle? Can you make your partner move in a certain direction (channelling)? Can you stop them getting to the line in 10s?
