Attack- scanning drill for backs
5 v 4
Players start facing each other. Coach calls a colour. The defenders moves to the colour cones called. The attackers drop back 10m then attack.
Attacking players must scan defence and decide best option to score.
Atackers should look to fix the defenders in place and attack spaces available.
Blue = 2nd receiver fix all defenders then pass behind to get wide.
Orange = run straight to fix all defenders then use loop pass or change of angle line to hit gaps between defenders.
Yellow = fix first 2 defenders with dummy then look to loop pass or draw and pass to create 2 v 1 against other defenders.
Option: to add a 2nd phase so all attackers touch the ball 2 times.
