the aim of this drill is to improve tackling and running at the same time. there are attackers and defenders, they both need to run to the blue cones at the side of them. the attackers on the left has gthe ball and his aim is to run towards the defender once he reaches his cone. his aim is to run through the defender and score a try. the defenders job on the other side is to tackle the attacker and prevent the attacker from scoring a try.
the defender will find it easy to tackle the attacker if he runs towards the attacker and gives him self enough time to set himself and get yourself in a strong stance. you also need to be on your toes in case the defender decides to step and move around the small space to get around the defender.
