DESCRIPTION

Over a large tackle bag, the defender can't get low enough to ruck the opposing player off the ball so must use their weight against them. Therefore, the crocodile roll is used; the defender goes over the opposition and rolls sideways with the opposition, thus clearing the ruck.

COACHING POINTS

  • Plant feet
  • Stay high(er)
  • Wrap arms around
  • Fall sideways
  • Land on your back
