Pick & Roll Motion Offense

Organization: Three scholars will set up at the three point line. Scholar 1 is in the middle, scholar 3 is on the right wing, and scholar 2 is on the left wing. Scholar 4 will be on the free throw line and scholar 5 will be on the right block. Quick introduction and instructions on the following offensive play. The scholars will start at 50% speed. The scholars will start with no defense. Description: Scholar 1 is going to dribble the ball to the right wing. Scholar 3 is going to cut to the opposite corner while scholar 1 is replacing their spot. Scholar 2 is making a v cut, scholar 4 replaces scholars 1 spot by moving from the free throw line, and scholar 5 is setting a firm pick for scholar 3 and they are cutting to that opposite corner. Scholar 1 skip passes to scholar 2, scholar 3 and 4 v cut, and scholar 5 sets a screen for scholar 2 but they don't use it and instead make a v cut. Scholar 3, 4, and 1 clear out to keep the defenders busy. The first option is for scholar 2 to dribble and beat the defender to the basket. Scholar 5 will seal the defender and roll to the basket for a potential dump down from scholar 2 or to get scholars 2 rebound. Coaching Points: Positive narration. Make sure scholars are communicating. Progression: The scholars will now be at 100% speed. The scholars will have defense on them.
