Chase your own pass

Set up 5 equal groups of players, one group on each sideline and 3 in the middle. Have several balls with both groups of sideline players. Player 1 starts the drill with a pass to player 2. Player 2 runs out to meet the pass and then passes it on to player 3 who passes to player 4 who finishes with a shot on goal. Immediately after passing though player 1 must chase down their own pass, making sure they're in a position to block the shot when blue 4 is in possession. Players in the middle rejoin the back of their own lines after receiving the pass/shooting. Sideline players join the back of the line on the opposite side of the court after blocking the shot.

Cross and shoot under pressure.

Players from both lines run forwards at the same time, with the ball carrier crossing over in front of the other player. When the players cross over they should switch the ball between them. At this point the player in possession should try and get around the defender to get a clear shot off on goal.

Once the other player has the ball they should shoot on goal before then collecting their ball and joining the back of the queue.

Two teams try to score by bringing the ball across one of the two lines.Both teams may score on both sides.When scored; the team in possession must try to score at the other line. Scorin twice on the same side is not allowed.

Pass and Run Group Drill with Pressure

Set up your players up in four equal lines. Only the player at the start of line 1 has a ball. There will also be a defender (red 1) who runs along the line to prevent the blue players from having a clear shot on goal. Blue 1 passes to blue 2 who then passes the ball to blue 3, who passes to blue 4 who finished the move with a shot on goal. Every player joins the back of the next line after passing the ball.

Simple cross over - Switch ball

Players line up in two lines on opposite sides of the pitch, in line with the 7 metre line. The first players in both lines set off at the same time as one another. When they cross over in the middle the player with the ball passes, using the hand that is closest to their team mate, to the player who they are running past who then dribbles to the other side and passes to the next player waiting in line.

Team dribble - Points game

In this game there are more attackers than defenders. The aim for the attackers is to dribble from one line to the other without being dispossessed. Every time they successfully do this they score a point for their team. After a player is tackled they may retrieve their ball but they will not score a point on that turn. Each team has 10 runs before you the teams are changed. The team who scored the most runs is the winning side.

Players line up on both sides of the court with one players standing in the middle of the 9 meter line. Players take it in turns to pass to the center player, quickly following their pass before receiving the return ball and immediately playing the pass out wide to the next player in line.

Blue 2 takes the throw and passes out to blue 3 and then moves up court to screen white 3. Meanwhile blue 6 and 4 make their move to the right of the court. Blue 3 then quickly passes to blue 6 who then immediately feeds the ball into the path of blue 4. Blue 4 then completes the move by passing to blue 5 down in the bottom corner who has a shot on goal.

Blue 1 feeds the ball in front of blue 2 who then duels with their opposite number before passing the ball across the pitch to the next attacking player. The final player lays the ball off to the lone player, once all the balls are with this player the drill restarts in the opposite direction.

Fast Break - Keeper Feed 1v1 5...

Set up two equal lines of players on both side of the baseline and two defenders just beyond the half way line. All baseline players have a ball each. The move starts with a one-two pass from the player on the baseline to the keeper. Upon playing the pass the players should run forward and receive the pass from the keeper on the run. After this players dribble the ball up court at speed. Once the attackers cross the half way line the defenders are allowed to put pressure on the attacker. Drill continues until a shot/interception has been made.

Have a line of attacking players all with a ball each standing on both sides of the court. Inside the 9m line will be two defenders, one on each side. The drill starts with the first attacker running at goal and shooting on goal. The defenders are allowed to obstruct the shot but not tackle. Once the ball is in the hands of the keeper they should throw it out to the defender who is making a fast break-away run up the court. After running to the half-way line the defender joins the back of the queue, the attacking player becomes the next defender and the drill begins again on the other side of the court.

As soon as the pass has been made a player from the right should start running straight towards goal. The feeder turns and passes the ball into the path of the running player from the right. This player then shoots on goal. The drill repeats from the other side.

Two teams stand at opposite ends of the area, each player has a ball, with a line of cones along the middle. Standing at a distance from the cones (increase/ decrease distance dependant on players' ages) players take it in turns to throw and aim at the cones. Each cone that a player hits is a point for their team. Once all the cones have been hit the team with the most points is the winner.

Two lines on both sides of the court with one return pass player stood further up the court in the middle. Players run with the ball and play a one-two pass with the central player. As they receive the ball again they immediately shoot on goal. After shooting players run to the back of the opposite line to practice throwing from the other side.

Advanced goal throw - Make the...

Two lines of players on both sides of the court and four defenders inside the 9m line. The attacking player makes a zig-zag run around the first defender and shoots at goal before rejoining the back of the line. Once the keeper has the ball the centre left defender makes a run to receive the fast throw out. Meanwhile the left back shifts across to fill the hole and a player from the other queue also comes across to fill in. Repeat this until all players in the line have taken their shot and then repeat on the other side.

Set up two groups on each side of the court. Players in group 1 start with the ball on the corner. Player 1 passes the ball out to player 2 who shoots on goal. After the shot both players run to the benches where they perform a series of quick jumps before joining the back of the opposite line on the other side of the court. Drill continues from other side of court.

Players stand in four lines along the half way line. A player on both side starts with the ball in hand. The attackers play give-and-go as they progress up the court and pass around the defender. The move finished with attacker 1 (the player who started with the ball) throwing at the goal.

The first player waiting in line passes to the first player on the cone and immediately follows their pass and runs behind that player to receive the return pass. Once they have the ball in hand again they pass the ball to the next player and drive behind them to loop in front of them and receive the ball again. Once the player reaches the end of the course they dribble the ball to the corner and then sprint around the court back to the end of the line with the ball in hand.
