Dragon country | handball games

Dragon country

Setup :     Two gymnastic boxes (or similar objects) are placed in a corner of the room with some space between them, forming the dragon’s cave. Alternatively, a single mat can be used to represent the cave, though it is less visually engaging.     One child is selected to be the dragon and starts inside the cave.     The other children spread out across the room.    Gameplay :     The children call out: "Dragon, come out!"     The dragon leaves the cave and tries to catch one of the children.     When a child is caught, they are brought back to the cave and become a dragon as well.     The children call out again: "Dragon, come out!" Now, all dragons hunt together to catch more children.     The game continues until all children are caught.    Winning :     The last child caught is the winner and becomes the first dragon for the next round. Making It More Challenging :   Dribbling Challenge: All children must dribble a ball while running, making it harder to escape the dragon.

Hit The Hare 1 | handball games

Hit The Hare 1

Setup: Two teams are positioned around a circle, standing opposite each other. One player from each team stands in the middle of the circle. Objective: The players in the circle try to hit the opposing team’s player in the middle with the ball. The players in the middle move strategically to avoid being hit and attempts to deflect or redirect balls thrown by the opposing team to their own teammates on the opposite side. Rules: If the player in the middle is hit, they must switch places with a teammate from their own team in the circle. The game continues with the new middle player. Track the number of successful hits within a set time frame to determine the winner. Ways to Make It Harder: Adjust the size of the circle (smaller or larger). Allow the middle player to deflect the balls. Introduce bounce throws (balls must bounce once before hitting the target).

Horse and rider | handball games

Horse and rider

airs are formed, and everyone stands in a circle. One person from each pair gets on all fours (the "horse"), while the other sits on their back (the "rider"). At the signal of the game leader's whistle, the riders jump off their horses and walk a full lap (either left or right) around the circle until they return to their horse. While the rider is walking, the horse stands up and spreads its legs. The rider must then crawl under the horse's legs and quickly blow the whistle or touch a cone that has been placed in the center of the circle before the game starts. Make it harder: Introduce different movements, such as running faster or adding obstacles. Variations: Change the method of movement: In a gallop (each step with the same foot forward). Sidesteps with the face inward or outward. After 3 steps, do a half-turn when doing side-steps. As "horses" walk beautifully: raise knees high (knee lifts).

The Gauntlet | handball games

The Gauntlet

An obstacle course is set up with various equipment. Two teams are then formed. Team A attempts to complete the course as many times as possible within a set time, while Team B tries to hit Team A’s players with soft balls. If a player from Team A is hit, they must immediately leave the course and go to the back of the line. Each player who completes the course without being hit scores a point for their team. Team B is only allowed to throw from behind a barrier (e.g., a bench). Some players from Team B are positioned at the other end of the course to throw the balls back. To make it more challenging: Variations: The course can be modified, for example, by adding cupboards or other objects where players can take cover. The course can be set up in the middle of the room, with players from both sides attempting to hit opponents.
