In netball, my team is struggling to bring the ball up to the attackers through the middle third. We are struggling with the turnover from an interception. Can anyone give me any idea's for drills or tactics to help with this? Thanks, Laura Bevans x
I try getting my girls to pass to the next person in line to them i.e wd to c c to wa etc etc this way they know where the next ball is being played and it gives them one less thing to think about. It also means the receiving player has to work to get free.
I agree with Ruth about Wd to C then to WA but are your players holding their timing for that pass and more importantly are they 'driving forward' as opposed to running away. Also your team needs to create space for players to move into, so that doesnt mean all players running around needlessly and all congregating around the ball! I would also encourage and practise dodging as another tactic. Shelley Cyprus
