My team has only won one game so far (out if 4) this season and when calls go against them or they drop a few passes or miss a few goals they just lose motivation and seem to struggle. They are seniors not juniors and I don't know how to pull them out of a funk.

Hello! This happened to my team when we entered a league that was way more advanced that we thought! Continued on court motivation during the game is good, e.g. (lovely shooting girls, keep it going, nice interception etc etc). If a ball gets intercepted during play or someone gets pulled for footwork we just shout out `don`t worry, keep going your doing great`. Lots of motivation even when losing is key. After the match we commend the other team on how great they played, but also commend our players on how well they defended against such a strong attack etc etc, your passing was great tonight emma, your footwork was brilliant Kerry, bla bla. We take it as a lesson learnt against a stronger team that teach us to play better and think more about what we are doing. We might of lost, but we put up a good fight and played an excellent game. I then speak to players individually about things they could of done slightly better and to put it into play at the next match.
Motivation is key!
Thank you
Its good to set achievable goals for the team, for example sent a percentage target for receipt of own centre passes, set a target for goals per quarter, target % for rebounds or amount of penalties given against your team, so that the team feels back in control and successful when not winning games, and focus on something other than losing score.

Footwork is the foundation of every skill in netball. This guide provides a clear explanation of the stepping rule, the mechanics of one-foot and two-foot landings, pivoting technique, and progressive drills to build footwork confidence from junior level upward.
The early 'shoot from anywhere' era is over. Smart teams now use data-driven decision models to decide when the two-pointer is worth it.
