Hockey: Turning out - Both directions

I love using Sportplan. It's been a great help for co-ordinating hockey...
Laura, Hockey Coach

DESCRIPTION

Place three cones approximately 2 meters apart in a zig-zag pattern.

Players take it in turn to dribble at each cone. Upon reaching the cones they must turn out 360° before then running towards the next cone to repeat the skill in the other direction.

COACHING POINTS

Player turn out in the direction they are already running, so when running from right-left they turn out left and vice-versa.

Focus on close-ball control - the ball should never be far from your players' stick.
