Everyone has a ball except 1-2 defenders. The aim is for the attackers to reach the other side of the playing area. Defenders try to tackle the attackers and knock their balls out of the playing area. Attackers who lose their ball become defenders. Variation: Introduce no-go areas that attackers cannot run through Defenders who win a ball become attackers Intensity: Set a [10]s time limit to reach the opposite line Have more defenders, about 1/3 or 1/4 of the total players.
Use as a warm-up or to practice carrying the ball, elimination or defending. Works for all junior age groups. Defenders: double-team, tackle 2v1. Attackers: attack the space. (If using no-go areas) defenders: channel the attackers into smaller spaces and surround them.
