Jamie Mackenzie Coach, Scotland

DESCRIPTION

Starts as a 2v3 - the 2 blue players start with the ball and attack the 3 red players. If the blue players turn the ball over then the remaining 2 red players that are waiting off the pitch by their goal can join. Becomes a 3v4. If the 4 red players are able to turn the ball over then the 2 blue players waiting off pitch by their goal can join and help their team defend. It ends as a 4v5.

COACHING POINTS

Defensively, looking at two players taking out the ball carrier and ensuring they make a swift turnover. The two players that join the game must ensure they work together to slow play down in order to allow the rest of their team to run back and help defend. Attackers need to try and create 2v1s together and work hard to use the space effectively.
