DESCRIPTION

4 (or 5) attacking players start with ball on the 23m. Defender 2 & 3 aim to protect the D and play a pass to player 4 if they regain possession. Player 1 is a recovering defender who joins when coach blows whistle. Player 4 is confined to right side channel. Defenders rotate (1-2-3-4) Variation: Outletting exercise - defence start from a 16 and attempt to get the ball to the two red scoring zones (no restrictions). TRAPS & TRIGGERS

COACHING POINTS

Exercise giving the attacking team a big overload advantage. Encourage attackers to identify where the spaces are under less immediate pressure. Defenders protect the top of the D and shuffle with ball to cover the line to goal.
