Core 1: blocktackle / tackle back

DESCRIPTION

Goal:
- repeat tackle back
- NEW 1 handed block tackle FH /BH. 


Exercise

* 4 pp on 1 side
* rotation 1-2-3-1
* after 6 /7 min swab sides to make sure they do FH and BH. 
* 1 + 2 defenders, 3 attacker
* No 1 plays to No 3. No 3 tries to score in goal A
* 1 + 2 can start defending if 3 TRAPS the ball. If they get the ball, they try to score in goal B. 

Variation:

1+2 can start defending if No 1 passes the ball. 

 

COACHING POINTS

 1 handed block tackle FH/ BH 

When : in small spaces (crowed) and circle. You use 1 hand to stretch yourself to cover all space  your feet.

Goal block tackle: the opponent thinks he is far enough from you, but all of the sudden you step forward, limit the space between you two and block the ball with your whole stick.

The prey tactic: wait till opponent makes mistake, then attack


The block tackle skill:
* 1 hand (left hand) V grip,
*  while putting stick on ground you step forward (ending up in running position)
* Suddenly one big lunge forward and stretching stick out to ball. Shaft stick against ball. Left hand on the ground, wrist tight.
