Coaching points

Inital Defender

  1. get into good positioning 
  2. slow her down
  3. pressure attacker to get eyes down (reduce vision)

Recovering defender must sprint back 

LEFT SIDE

  • INITIAL DEFEDER STRYING TO SLOW ATTCKER
  • RECOVERY DEFENDER to slot in behind and protect middle 
  • Keep attacker forehand and force backwards/away from goal

 

Right side Focus - 

  • Intital defender keep level with attacker
  • Recovery defender works feet to protect middle/line to goal
  • Intital defender to force attack onto forehand of recovery defender (to protect baseline)
